Mumbai: Winners of the Rajiv Gandhi speedy administration given awards at the hand of Chief minister. Asking bureaucracy to bid a goodbye to words like red-tape Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray stated that while working for the welfare of the people of the state, maintain pace of the progress of the state.
Chief Minister today gave away 18 awards for the winners of the Rajiv Gandhi campaign for the speedy administration. Minister for revenue Balasaheb Thorat, minister for textiles Aslam Shaikh, MP Arvind Sawant, chief secretary Manukumar Srivastava, additional chief secretary to the department of general administration Dr Sanjay Chahande, award winning officers and Government employees from all over the state and senior Government officials were present for the function held at Sahyadri Guest House.
Lauding the efforts by Government officials and staff for risking their lives while performing their duties during the Corona period, chief minister Thackeray said that it was because of them that we could combat calamity like Covid. He said that whenever he is referred to as the chief minister who is most loved by people of the state, it is a credit of administrative mechanism and officers as well as staff within the Government which is working with dedication. He said that there are many challenges when one works within the state administration but while performing our duties adhering to rules and regulations one can work for betterment of people and it leads to beginning of a good administration.
Stating that political leadership show dreams of development but bureaucracy brings those to reality chief minister said that we think that administration is working efficiently only when tears of common man are replaced by tears of satisfaction. Giving an example of smooth administration chief minister cited loan waiver implementation. He said that recently a list of states has been declared based on increase in gross domestic production and among such states with good economic condition Maharashtra is included in the list. He said that it was possible only due to cooperation by bureaucracy. Chief minister said that his Government was working towards making farmers permanently self-reliant which is why it is running many ambitious schemes in the interest of the farmers and agriculture.
Extending his wishes for the Urban Services Rights Day, he congratulated all award winning officers and employees. He asked them to preserve their loyalty towards the progress of state and the country as well as for the interest of the common. He also appealed them to work for a big family of ours which is state of Maharashtra.
