Mumbai: Western railway New Delhi Rajdhani express completes 50 Golden years. A Special Carried Cover on Golden Jubilee of 12951 of the Western railway Mumbai New Delhi Rajdhani Express was released by Smt. Veena Srinivas, Chief Postmaster General Maharashtra Circle at Mumbai Central on 17.05.2022, in the presence of Shri Ashok Kumar Mehta, IRS, Principal Chief Commissioner, CGST and Shri G V L Satya Kumar, Divisional Railway Manager, Mumbai Central. This cover is being carried from Mumbai to New Delhi by Rajdhani Express today. Another similar Special Carried Cover will be released in Delhi tomorrow and will be carried to Mumbai by the return train.
The train completed 50 glorious years in the service of the nation and to mark this occasion, a befitting celebration was organised at Mumbai Central station before the departure of this iconic train. Shri Satyakumar, DRM, Mumbai Central welcomed the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and dignitaries present at this momentous occasion. The Special Postal Cover & VIP album was released by the dignitaries.
