Mumbai: – Shelter for orphan children and senior citizens by CMIS Trust with love, care, affection, and food is an eye opener to society. City Mission of India Society and Trust (CMIS TRUST) opened a home in 1994 for children who were suffering from poverty, children of widows without having financial support, and children without a home, who don’t get the love of their parents and relatives.
It is the dream and mission of Sister P. R. Mala Naidu Founder and President of CMIS. She believes a child who is an orphan and destitute is a stigma in any society, the child is isolated and exploited in every sense, and society always takes undue advantage of such children not only in India but across the globe. “We not only take these kids under our care but provide all the basic needs and help them to live in the most secure and healthy environment for them to be an ideal citizens,” Said Sis. Mala. With these aims, a Shelter for orphans called Sunrise Happy Children Home (SHCH) came into existence. Sunrise Happy Children Home commenced in the year 1998. Sunrise Home takes care of orphaned children by providing love, care, education, shelter, affection, protection, recreation, and medical care, the medical checkups from time to time and on some occasions even as per the need of the hour. Sunrise Home celebrates all Indian festivals in the traditional way and also encourages nearby local villagers to participate in the celebrations. There are around 115 children studying from Junior KG to standard ten. These students are staying in the two homes which are situated in a slum area in Mumbai and the other home and primary school are in Badlapur village tribal area.
Sis. Mala Naidu is now expanding the horizon of service to Senior citizens through an old age home called Grace Mother House. The City Mission of India society trust looking for funds for their old age homes called Grace Mother House in their allotted 10 acres in Thane and Raigad districts. These old age homes are free of cost for senior citizens above 60 years old men and women who are neglected by family and looking for shelter, who are in the last stage of their life.” The trust is possession of all necessary documents such as Trust Certificate 1994, (CSRA certificate raise funding) Darpan certificate, 80G and 12-A pan card Renewed, FCRA Renewed certificate, etc. “said Sis. City Mission of India Society and Trust (CIMS Trust) is purely run by the donors and there are no permanent donors to date. To look after the daily needs of every child is a herculean task and the home depends entirely on kind-hearted well wishers. All funds or items which are donated by the donors are fully used for the above said activities. Donations to CMIS are exempted as per the prescribed limit under section 80G of the Income Tax Act 1961 FCRA. Sis. Mala’s whole life is dedicated to the mammoth mission of bringing up these deprived children into ideal citizens. The trust is seeking financial support from kind hearted people to run these homes efficiently as well as the construction of the old age home on the allotted land.
