Mumbai: Power cut gives sleepless night to residents of Mumbai and citizens were complaining all night on the issue faced by them on social media. Many parts of Mumbai faced a power cut on Wednesday, for the second time in a week as Power cut gives trouble to many citizens.
The power cut was reported in Navi Mumbai and Panvel areas and residents have complained of outages throughout the night.”
It comes at time when Maharashtra is already reeling under a power deficit and the reason for outage is not known.
Adani Electricity, which is among the firms that supply power in the financial capital said today that 6 substations have been restored.
While, repairing work underway for remaining 3 substations which’ll be restored in some time.

Some parts of central Mumbai, along with suburbs like Bhandup and Mulund within the municipal limits of Mumbai, and the adjoining cities of Thane and Dombivili faced a power outage from around 10 am, as per various reports.
Due to the technical fault in the transmission, power supply was disrupted in Navi Mumbai and Panvel. The electricity was cut throughout the night as well in the affected areas.
A twitter users had also asked the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd to which they repliedĀ

As per the reports by other news publication, electricity was disconnected in Thane, Mulund, Ambarnath, Badlapur, and Dombivali in the morning due to tripping in the 400KV sub-station at Padgha.
In that tata power also replied the reason for the outage along with adani electricity board in the following tweet.
As per initial assessment, Tata Power would like to inform you some parts of Mumbai experienced electricity failure due to MSETCL line tripping as part of the 400KV Kalwa Grid which supplies power to Mumbai and suburban areas.

Mumbai had also faced 18 hours power shortage in the year of 2020.
