Mumbai, March 21 : The woman who accused Maharashtra’s Rural Development Minister Jaykumar Gore of sending obscene messages was arrested by Satara Police on Friday on charges of demanding extortion of Rs 1 crore.
The woman had demanded Rs 3 crore to settle the matter, but the deal was fixed for Rs 1 crore. Satara Crime Branch Police is investigating this matter thoroughly.
According to the police, Minister Jaykumar Gore is an MLA from Man-Khatav constituency of Satara district.
A few days ago, the woman had lodged a complaint against Minister Jaykumar Gore at the local police station for sending obscene messages.
The woman had said in her complaint that in the year 2016 also, Jay Kumar Gore was harassing her in the same way.
At that time also a complaint was lodged against Jaykumar Gore and he had to stay in jail for ten days in this case.
After this, Gore had apologized to the woman and had given a written assurance of not committing such a crime again, but now after becoming a minister, Gore is again sending her obscene messages.
However, after this complaint of the woman, Jaykumar Gore had registered a case against the woman for demanding three crore rupees extortion.
In this case, Satara Crime Branch Police has arrested the woman today while demanding one crore rupees extortion. Police is preparing to present the woman in the court.
NCP SP MP Supriya Sule said that first of all it should be found out where the one crore rupees cash came from.
Then what document does the woman have, due to which Gore had to pay one crore rupees. Sule said that the whole case of the police seems fake, but who will investigate it.
