Mumbai: Maharashtra Governor presents 21st Devarshi Narad Awards to journalists. Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari presents the 21st Devarshi Narad Patrakarita Puraskars to journalists from Print, Electronic, Digital and Social media at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai. The awards instituted by Vishwa Samvad Kendra were presented on Wed (18th May) .
The Governor presented the lifetime achievement award in journalism to Senior Journalist Prakash Joshi.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said fearless journalists hold a mirror to society. He appealed to journalists to applaud good work while bringing to the fore shortcomings in the society. The Governor applauded Vishwa Samvad Kendra for honouring journalists who upheld ethical values.
The Narad Patrakarita Puraskars were also presented to Dnyanda Kadam, ABP Majha, Alok Nirantar, Cartoonist, Deepak Joshi, photographer, Dinesh Kanji (News Portal), Ashwin Aghor (Youtube Channel), Prajakta Hardas (Student journalist), Rohit Dalal, Abhiraj Rajadhyaksh, Niyati Mavinkurve, Aakash Nalawade and Abhijit Chawada (Social Media).
President of Vishwa Samvad Kendra, Mumbai Sudhir Joglekar, member of the selection committee Vaijayanti Apte and Prant Sanghchalak of Konkan Prant Dr Satish Modh were present.
