Mumbai: Governor Koshyari and Minister of State for Home Nisith Pramanik meet youths from Naxal affected districts. Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs & Sports and Home Nisith Pramanik interacted with tribal youths from the Naxal affected districts of Bihar and Telangana at Maharashtra Raj Bhavan in Mumbai on Friday (25 Mar)
The visit of the 218 youths from the left wing extremism affected districts of Jamui, Lakhisarai and Gaya from Bihar and Khammam district from Telangana was organised by the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan as part of the 13th Tribal Youth Exchange Programme. The youths will be visiting various places in Mumbai from 22 to 28th March as part of the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Koshyari asked the youths to dream big, work hard and progress in life.
The Governor told the tribal youth that no matter how small a village we come from, we can make progress in life with high goals , hard work and honesty.
In Naxal-affected districts With a view to connect the youth with the mainstream of the country, the 13th Tribal Youth Exchange Program has been organized with the initiative of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs and the Nehru Youth Organization Center. As a part of this program, a program was organized for the youth to visit Raj Bhavan as well as interact with the Governor. At this time, tribal youths from Naxal-affected areas shared their experiences.
Director General of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan Nitesh Kumar Mishra, State Director Prakash Kumar Manure and officials were present.
