But due to war in ukraine and unprecedented climatic conditions the rate of the mangoes were skyrocketing.
The rate of mangoes, the delectable fruit which everyone craves to eat every year is now reduced. This is a extremely good news for Mumbaikar to eat Alphonso Mangoes.
It is now available at Rs. 1,000-Rs 1,500 in the APMC market in Navi Mumbai.
The price of mangoes was Rs 2,000-Rs 5,000 per five dozens last week, cost now- Rs 1,500 to Rs 4,000. The reduction in the prices of the alphonso mangoes comes even as the production and distribution of mangoes took a hit due to erratic rainfalls, severe heatwave which had the cut the production rate to 35% to 40%.
The rates of the prices of alphonso mangoes sees a downward trend as the markets in Ratnagiri, Devgad. And other production facility across Maharashtra have started supplying 55,000 and above boxes in APMC market.
A trader in Mumbai Agriculture Produce Market Committee (APMC), Vashi market suggested consumers, that it the perfect time to buy mangoes and eat them, and Mumbaikars should use this opportunity as we don’t know what future holds for us.
“Good quality mangoes are now available at a reasonable rates, and we expect that this trend continue and” he added.
Along with alphonso even kesar is available at the APMC market.
