Pune: Bank of Maharashtra has organized Fintech Mahotsav at its Head Office, to add fillip to its Digital Banking channels commencing from today till 13th April, 2022. During the Mahotsav, Tech firms for banking solutions are invited for deliberation of their technology driven services in order to make banking services seamless. Eight Fin-tech companies participated on the first day in Fintech Mahotsav viz. Easebuzz, Gnani innovations Pvt. Ltd, My Lead, One Card, Satsure, Schools Guide, Signzy Technologies Pvt. Ltd and Loan Tap (Cyborg Intel). Shri A S Rajeev, MD & CEO presided over the event along with Executive Directors Shri A B Vijayakumar and Shri Asheesh Pandey. All General Managers, Bank’s IT team, Zonal Managers and In-charge of Centralised Processing Cell were also connected through this virtual deliberation program.
While addressing the event Shri A S Rajeev said that Bank of Maharashtra is ready in terms of adaptation of Technology driven services in a big way. Bank’s Board has taken conscious decision to come up with Fintech Start up policy in consonance with Tech experts from premiere institutes and users at fields. Shri Rajeev opined ‘Govt. has been taking proactive measures to bridge the Technology gap in the PSBs and Bank of Maharashtra is in the forefront to expand its digital footprints.
Shri A B Vijayakumar, Executive Director said that our country is celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahatsav, PSBs are at forefront in delivering services to the unserved and underserved & uplifting their lives. Shri Vijayakumar further added that transition of the PSBs has been remarkable and Bank of Maharashtra will strive to be No.1 in terms of adopting digital services & provide ease of doing banking services. He also asserted to bring in the change in services without compromising on the human values while protecting interest of customers and stakeholders.
Shri Asheesh Pandey, Executive Director, who has been piloting the digital interventions in the Bank, Congratulated Bank’s IT team to come up with such an ideation program within a short span and welcomed various representatives of leading Tech firms to the Fintech Marathon. Shri Pandey asserted on three important keys for successful execution of Technology driven services viz. proper policy structure, Tools, Methodologies and its thoughtful implementation. He highlighted about the importance of proper coordination between Head Office and field functionaries as Technology remains the only way forward for doing business with ease and proper compliance.
“This is the beginning of Digital year for the Bank of Maharashtra and all-out efforts are to be taken to label it as a Digital Bank with series of products and services in offering in the coming days” opined Shri Pandey.
