6 employees of Central Railway felicitated with General Manager’s Safety Award
Shri Ashok Kumar Misra, General Manager Central Railway & lWestern Railway gave away “General Manager’s Safety Award” to 6 Central Railway staff i.e. 2 each from Mumbai, Bhusaval and Nagpur Divisions. The awards were given in appreciation of their alertness during duty, their contribution in averting untoward incidents and ensuring safety in train operations during the month of November/December 2022 in a function held at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai on 09.01.2023. The award consists of a medal, commendation certificate, a citation of exemplary safety work and a cash award of ₹ 2000/-.
Shri Misra appreciated the alertness of the staff who were being awarded and mentioned that they are exemplary role models for everyone to emulate. The employees awarded showed their great zeal and commitment towards safe running of trains in various areas of safety such as detection of trolley crack, detection of sparkling in wheel, hot axles and timely informing about spark & smoke in passing train. Central Railway is proud of all the awardee employees who with their prompt action and alertness helped to avert the possibility of any untoward incidence. The six GM’s safety awardees were Mr. Deepu Kumar, Fitter and Mr. Rupesh Gorakhnath Mhatre, Fitter of Mumbai Division, Mr. Pramendra Kumar Shakya, Technician and Mr. Ritesh Rajendra Jawanjal, Track Maintainer of Nagpur Division & Mr. Shresth Khere, Asst. Station Manager and Shri Jai Prakash Tulshiram, Keyman of Bhusaval Division.
Shri Alok Singh, Additional General Manager, Shri D Y Naik, Principal Chief Safety Officer, Shri Mukul Jain, Principal Chief Operations Manager, Shri N P Singh, Principal Chief Electrical Engineer, Shri Sunil Kumar, Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer and other Principal Heads of Departments of Central Railway were present on the occasion and Divisional Railway Managers of all the Divisions joined the event virtually.
