Prediction to gain another 2 to 3 degrees to the temperature has been given to delhi capital.
The Safdarjung Observatory – Delhi’s base station – recorded a maximum temperature of 40.8 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.
It is expected to breach the 42-degree mark on Wednesday and soar to 44 degrees Celsius by Thursday, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD)
The IMD said the Heat Wave could lead to moderate health concerns for vulnerable people, including infants, elderly, people with chronic health conditions, in the affected regions so Watch out and take heed.
(IMD) has predicted heat wave conditions in large parts of the country for at least the next five days. “Rise by about 2 degrees Celsius in maximum temperatures very likely over most parts of Northwest India during next three days and fall by about 2 degrees Celsius thereafter,” it said.
A heat wave warning has been announced for Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana, UP and Odisha as parts of these states record temperatures above 45 degrees Celsius.
In central India with temperatures in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh crossing 45 degrees Celcius the mercury is maintaining a up-ward trend.
