Shri Asheesh Pandey, Executive Director, Bank of Maharashtra
Pune: Shri Asheesh Pandey joined as Executive Director, Bank of Maharashtra (BoM) today on 31st December, 2021. Prior to joining BoM, Shri Asheesh Pandey was Chief General Manager & Chief Operations Officer (COO) at Union Bank of India (UBI). Shri Asheesh Pandey has a progressive professional career spanning more than 24 years and over these years have handled a diversified portfolio ranging from Credit, Credit Monitoring, Treasury & Merchant Banking, Foreign Transactions & Joint Ventures, Marketing & Customer Relationships and Banking Operations.
Shri Asheesh Pandey is a Mechanical Engineer (Hons) with Post Graduation in Management (Hons) with specialisation in Finance & Marketing. He is Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers, also holds NSE Certification in Insurance (both Life & Non-Life), Mutual Funds & De-mat Operations. He also undertook Executive Leadership Course and is an alumnus of IIM, Bangalore. Shri Pandey started banking career from Corporation Bank at its Industrial Finance Branch, and Investment & International Banking Division in Mumbai.
Shri Pandey as Chief General Manager & COO of UBI took up the challenging role of the amalgamated entity during which the various process re-engineering, harmonisation, automation and digitisation taken place. Moreover, Shri Pandey led the team implementing novel technological concepts at UBI viz. Whatsapp Banking, e-Nomination, Online Death Claim Settlement Portal, Cheque Book Tracking, Churn Model (Predictive Analysis for CASA Dormancy), Video KYC, Robotic Process Automation in many operational processes, Implementation of Door Step Banking, Digital Document Execution, Digi Connect Branches (Digital & Cashless), My Diary Portal (Bank’s Intranet Portal for all data needs), Positive Pay System, Automated 360 Degree Account Statement along with many others.
Shri Pandey was General Manager, Credit Monitoring and Restructuring Department of UBI during which the department had a complete overhaul in terms of monitoring & management of bank’s credit portfolio by deploying data analytics, various novel tools like Predictive Modelling, Robotic Process Automation and Machine Learning.
Shri Pandey also led Rajasthan State as Regional Head (Deputy General Manager), Jaipur of UBI and catered all businesses with all round performance. Prior, he was heading Chairman’s Secretariat of the UBI. He also headed SARAL (Specialised Credit Processing Cell). Before, he also worked at Bank’s Industrial Finance Branch, Mumbai. During the initial years of his career, he was project manager of the team that established Bank’s Insurance and Mutual Fund business of UBI
He is also Nominee Director on Board of PSB Alliance Private Limited floated by IBA with the Public Sector Banks.
