New Delhi: IndianOil bags the prestigious Asian Oil and Gas Award for Covid Management and New Product of the Year. Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IndianOil) bags the the prestigious Asian Power & Asian Oil & Gas Awards in 2 major categories of ‘Covid Management Initiative of the Year’and & New Product of the Year in India.
Singapore based quarterly publication Asian Power has instituted the award to acknowledge companies that play an influential role in transforming Asia& oil and gas industry. The coveted award under the Covid Management Initiative of the Year recognises IndianOil unrelenting social endeavours amidst the pandemic. The social outreaches included the diversion of high-purity oxygen used in IndianOil Panipat Refinery & Petrochemical Complex to shore up medical oxygen supplies in India and beyond. Other welfare measures of IndianOil, including the rollout of Sanjeevani Express to strengthen LMO logistics and vaccination drives for stakeholders, were also appreciated.
Asian Oil and Gas Award for New Product of the Year was bestowed on IndianOil for launching Indias first 100 Octane and best-in-class premium fuel XP100. XP100 caters to the niche market for luxury vehicles that demand high performance and such fuel is presently available only in six other countries (USA, Germany, Indonesia, Malaysia, Israel, and Greece).
Mr Shrikant Madhav Vaidya, Chairman, IndianOil, accepted the awards on behalf of the company. Speaking on the recognition, Mr Vaidya said, It is heartening to note that our initiatives are being acknowledged across the continent. For the past two years, the entire world has been grappling with the Covid-19 pandemic and inspired by the mantra of Pehle Indian Phir Oil ‘IndianOil has left no stone unturned to support common people. As far as XP100 is concerned, this fuel has turned out to be a game-changer. But this is just the beginning, and IndianOil will continue to explore new horizons of innovative excellence to offer greater customer delight across product segments
Asian Power recently declared the Asian Oil & Gas Award winners to celebrate the innovations in the energy sector and the entries were scrutinised by an esteemed panel of judges. Commenting on Award winners, Asian Power magazine mentioned, Despite the challenging environment in recent years, the award-winning companies have remained steadfast to their purpose and have risen above the hurdles. The Journal added, IndianOil XP 100 is the highest premium fuel that keeps cars and bikes engines healthy, minimizes knocking, and gives cars a higher mileage. Also, its environmentally friendly in nature. It keeps the air clean with reduced carbon emissions. This IndianOil innovation is indeed a testimony to the countries technological prowess, and manufacturing it within their refineries is the best example of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
