As the world prepares to celebrate the 10th International Day of Yoga, India has introduced a groundbreaking initiative aimed at spreading awareness, enhancing participation, and fostering unity through yoga. The Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga has released the IDY 2025 Newsletter, a publication dedicated to providing timely updates and uniting communities worldwide under the theme, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”

This innovative step aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision of making yoga a universal tool for harmony and well-being. The newsletter is designed as an information hub, sharing event details, milestones, registration processes, and inspiring stories, while strengthening international collaborations.

A total of ten signature events have been announced, reflecting the inclusive character and global appeal of yoga. These events aim to reach diverse communities, including individuals with disabilities, seniors, and youth, while promoting sustainability and holistic health. Highlights include synchronized yoga demonstrations at 10,000 locations, global partnerships with ten countries, the creation of 1,000 yoga parks, and a week-long festival across fifty locations.

The Minister of Ayush emphasized that this newsletter represents the spirit of transparency and inclusiveness, encouraging widespread participation in IDY 2025 and showcasing India’s leadership in promoting yoga as an integral part of global wellness.

Building upon the legacy of previous International Day of Yoga celebrations, the newsletter will spotlight inspirational success stories, groundbreaking research, and expert insights from renowned yoga practitioners. It will also function as a bridge between institutions, citizens, and international partners, enhancing collective efforts for community engagement.

The publication also underscores the importance of Harit Yoga campaigns and eco-friendly practices, resonating with the Prime Minister’s call for combining yoga with environmental conservation. Additionally, the newsletter highlights India’s ongoing efforts to integrate yoga into various spheres, including modern medicine, education, and technology.

Through innovative initiatives like yoga apps and specialized programs for diverse groups, the IDY 2025 Newsletter aims to extend the benefits of yoga to every corner of the globe. This landmark effort is a testament to India’s commitment to wellness, harmony, and sustainable living, reaffirming its role as a leader in global wellness movements.

With weeks to go for the celebration, the anticipation continues to build as citizens and international communities unite in embracing yoga as a path to health, happiness, and universal connection.
