India’s Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) has released its 34th Monthly Report, showcasing impressive strides in addressing public grievances. For the 32nd consecutive month, the resolution of over a million grievances was achieved, underlining a robust and efficient redressal framework. In February 2025 alone, more than 1.11 million cases were resolved by Central Ministries and Departments, highlighting an unwavering commitment to public service.

The average grievance disposal time stood at a rapid 15 days, reflecting the success of the 10-step reform process adopted by DARPG. The month also saw 47,599 new users registering on the CPGRAMS platform, with Uttar Pradesh leading the registrations at 7,312. An additional 5,580 grievances were filed through the Common Service Centers (CSC), which have now expanded to over 500,000 locations, integrating 250,000 Village Level Entrepreneurs to bridge accessibility gaps.

Among the top-performing entities, the Department of Food and Public Distribution, the Department of Telecommunications, and the Department of Posts led in grievance resolution within Group A. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, the Department of Land Resources, and the Ministry of Ayush shone in Group B rankings.

In a testament to the system’s effectiveness, the report featured heartening success stories. A retired BSNL employee received a replacement ATM card within two weeks after highlighting supply chain delays. Another citizen saw the resolution of a prolonged insurance claim under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, ensuring financial security for the bereaved family. From pension revisions under OROP-III to swift Aadhaar enrollments, these instances underscore a redressal mechanism that prioritizes citizen satisfaction.

With nearly 60,000 grievance cases still pending, efforts continue to further streamline operations and uphold the rights and needs of citizens across India. This monthly report is a reminder of the strides being made in governance and the ongoing mission to enhance transparency and accountability at every level.
