India is gearing up to host one of its most transformative events for tribal entrepreneurship under the banner of Dharti Aaba TribePreneurs 2025. Organized by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, this initiative, part of the Startup Mahakumbh 2025 event, is set to take place at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from April 3 to April 5, 2025. With a vision to empower Scheduled Tribe entrepreneurs and integrate them into India’s thriving startup ecosystem, Dharti Aaba TribePreneurs 2025 promises unparalleled exposure and growth opportunities.

The event aligns closely with Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh, commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, a revered figure in India’s tribal history. His legacy of self-reliance and community empowerment serves as the guiding principle for this initiative, which aims to honor his vision by fostering tribal innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic independence.

This year, over 45 tribal-led startups will showcase their innovations at Startup Mahakumbh 2025. These startups hail from premier institutions like IIM Calcutta, IIM Kashipur, and IIT Bhilai, with several already securing funding from IFCI Venture Capital. Participants will exhibit their products and services in dedicated stalls, network with top investors, and engage in discussions with leaders in the startup space, including unicorn founders and venture capitalists. Dharti Aaba TribePreneurs 2025, designed as a launchpad for tribal entrepreneurs, aims to propel their ventures to national and global prominence.

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs has demonstrated unwavering commitment to the empowerment of tribal communities, aligning this initiative with the larger vision of Atma Nirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India). This focus extends to the establishment of a dedicated venture capital fund with an initial corpus of $6 million, aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and innovation within tribal communities.

Educational opportunities are a cornerstone of the initiative. One hundred students from Eklavya Model Residential Schools will attend Startup Mahakumbh and participate in a specialized boot camp at IIT Delhi. Additionally, 150 tribal students will receive scholarships to gain firsthand exposure to India’s startup landscape, and 50 students from the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan program will interact with entrepreneurs and investors, providing them with invaluable insights and inspiration.

The Ministry has partnered with institutions like IIT Delhi, IIM Calcutta, IFCI Venture Capital, and leading industry associations to ensure a deep and lasting impact. Through these collaborations, tribal entrepreneurs are poised to access capital, mentorship, and strategic networking opportunities.

The initiative emphasizes inclusive growth, a sentiment echoed by leading figures in the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. The Minister described tribal entrepreneurs as the backbone of India’s cultural and economic heritage, underscoring their crucial role in shaping the nation’s future. Similarly, the Secretary of the Ministry highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship in achieving self-reliance and economic empowerment.

Dharti Aaba TribePreneurs 2025 marks a transformative step forward in tribal entrepreneurship. Through the visibility, resources, and support provided by Startup Mahakumbh 2025, these ventures are expected to scale new heights, contributing to India’s rapidly evolving startup ecosystem. The initiative reflects the government’s steadfast dedication to fostering innovation and empowerment within tribal communities, ensuring their integration into the nation’s economic growth story.

With its focus on innovation, self-reliance, and inclusive development, Dharti Aaba TribePreneurs 2025 is set to redefine the future of tribal entrepreneurship in India, creating lasting impacts both within the nation and beyond its borders.
