“Ladu” Selected for 16th Pratibimb National Short Film Festival

Pune, India – The Department of Media Communication Studies at SPPU is proud to announce that their latest production, “Ladu,” has been officially selected for the 16th Pratibimb National Short Film Festival, organized by Nagar DCS. “Ladu” is a touching story about a young boy named Ladu, who, after the death of his parents, comes to live with his aunt and uncle in the small town of Wadarwadi, Pune. Despite their best efforts to provide a loving home for Ladu, the relationship between the aunt and uncle becomes strained, leading to a difficult living environment for Ladu. In search of the love and comfort he lost with his mother, Ladu turns to his aunt and tries to find solace in their relationship. However, the challenges faced by his aunt and uncle threaten to derail Ladu’s quest for a sense of family and security.

The film is directed by Rohit Nanaware, written by Parth Banpate, and features cinematography by Saurabh Korde. The editing is handled by Nikhil Bidkar and Avishkar Manchekar, who have worked together to bring the story to life. The film stars Yetharth Patil as Ladu, Dr. Shuklima Pote as Maushi, Nitin Bansode as Kaka, and a talented ensemble cast.
