Mumbai, March 10 (IANS) Sandeep Goyat, who was previously seen in ‘Akhada’ as a lead, in ‘Shiksha Mandal’ as DSP Vikram Dangi and recently played a grey character in the multilingual film ‘InCar’, recalled his initial years of struggle in Mumbai and how he established himself as an actor.
Hailing from Haryana, he came to Delhi and started doing theatre along with his studies.
He said: “I came to Delhi with the thought of doing theatre for a maximum of one year being unknown that I would have a beautiful experience of 5 years in the world of theatre. I address these 5 years as the best 5 years of my life. The number and variety of roles that I played helped me to develop my profile as an actor.”
Further, he shared how his initial years were full of ups and downs and it was not an easy journey for him to establish himself in the entertainment industry and make his place.
“There are ups and downs in each person’s journey, some get smooth roads and some get rough ones. When Mumbai welcomed me with my first movie ‘G Kutta Se’ directed by Rahul Dahiya and my second movie ‘Guddu Rangeela’ directed by Subhash Kapoor, I was super happy but after ‘Guddu Rangeela’ there was the time when I went through a very low point, it is not that one doesn’t get the role but the kind of character you want to do you don’t get it.”
“So that was the time when I felt very low. Also just before Covid, I had signed two bigger projects that I don’t want to mention but eventually it didn’t ever happen because of the pandemic. That was the point when I even thought of leaving everything. But God has given me such wonderful friends who helped me financially, motivated me, pushed me not to give up, and now after the Covid, I have done several good projects about which I feel so happy and grateful,” he concluded.
