Pune: Bank of Maharashtra, a premier public sector bank in the country, organised a customer connect and outreach program at PYC Gymkhana, Pune on 3rd September 2022. Shri Sanjay Malhotra, Secretary, Department of Financial Services, was the chief guest for the event. Shri Bhushan Kumar Sinha, Joint Secretary, DFS was also present. MD & CEO, Bank of Maharashtra, Shri A S Rajeev, Executive Directors, Shri A B Vijayakumar& Shri Asheesh Pandey, General Managers, Zonal Managers of Pune City, East and West zones, and other staff members were present in the event. Before attending the event Shri Malhotra chaired a meeting, at the Bank of Maharashtra, Head Office with the Top Management of the Bank, where he reviewed Bank’s performance.

Shri Sanjay Malhotra, Secretary, Department of Financial Services, while addressing the event congratulated Bank of Maharashtra, for being the Top performer in terms of Business growth among PSBs.Shri Malhotra, asserted on devising various banking products and services, keeping the need of customers at the centre, and considering customer satisfaction as a top priority. He highlighted the growing importance of Digital Banking Channels. He complimented the Bank of Maharashtra for the last two years’ performance.

Shri A S Rajeev, MD & CEO, Bank of Maharashtra while addressing the event said, “This really is a proud moment for all of us having Secretary, Financial Services among us today and this will signify our future journey ahead. The outreach programs became synonymous with our lending to Retail, Agriculture, MSME sector and Bank’s pivotal journey of Financial inclusion, giving a fillip to our efforts to serve the unserved and underserved. Shri Rajeev opined, Bank is doing satisfactory while lending under various flagship schemes and facilitating various social security schemes of Govt. of India and will continue its efforts to deliver more through digitization.

Credit sanction letters of more than Rs. 1000 crore were given to the beneficiaries in the event at the hands of Shri Sanjay Malhotra, Secretary, DFS and other dignitaries present. Shri Malhotra visited the SHG stalls at the event and interacted with the members. He also interacted with the PMJJBY beneficiaries, who received the claim settlement. Shri Malhotra encouraged everyone to contribute in making our country “Atmanirbhar”.

Shri Asheesh Pandey, Executive Director, Bank of Maharashtra proposed the vote of thanks for the event.
