Bank of Maharashtra organizes all India Hindi Seminar on
‘Digital Banking and Languages’ at Delhi. Bank of Maharashtra a premiere public sector bank in the country organized an all India Hindi Seminar on ‘Digital Banking and Languages’ at Delhi. All the banks and Financial Institutions along with Insurance Companies across the country participated in the event.
Ms. Anshuli Arya IAS, Secretary, Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India was present as the chief guest in this seminar. Shri A. S. Rajeev, Managing Director & CEO, Bank of Maharashtra presided over the function. Shri Sudhir Shyam, Economic Advisor, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance was present in the seminar as a special guest, who enlightened the participants in regard to digitalization in banking. Shri K. Rajesh Kumar, General Manager, Human Resource Management & Rajbhasha and Ms. Chitra Datar, General Manager and Zonal Head, Delhi Zone, Bank of Maharashtra were also present in the seminar. A large number of top executives and Hindi Officers of all the banks, financial institutions and insurance companies participated in the seminar.
Ms. Anshuli Arya, Secretary, Department of Official Language, while addressing the event said, the banking and financial institutions are the backbone of Indian economy and bankers are serving the nation through banking services. Ms. Anshuli Arya further added that the use of Hindi and regional languages in digital banking is very important in present scenario and customers from remote areas will also be benefitted by this. She appreciated the efforts being made by Bank of Maharashtra and other banks in this direction.
Various Hindi Mobile Apps of the bank and a booklet in braille script were released by the dignitaries. The winners of the All India Hindi Essay Competition organized by the Bank of Maharashtra were also awarded on the occasion.
Shri A. S. Rajeev, MD & CEO Bank of Maharashtra, during the event, said “This is the era of digitalization which holds great significance in Banking and Financial services. Hindi and regional languages are powerful mediums to further digitalization of various schemes across the country.”
Shri K. Rajesh Kumar, General Manager, HRM and Rajbhasha, Bank of Maharashtra, welcomed all the participants. Sessions and panel discussion on “digital banking” were conducted in the seminar. The seminar was moderated by Dr. Rajendra Srivastava, Deputy General Manager (Rajbhasha), Bank of Maharashtra.
