Pune: Bank of Maharashtra observes ‘Vigilance Awareness Week 2022’. Bank of Maharashtra (BoM), a Premier Public Sector Bank in the country, observed ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ from 31st Oct, 2022 to 6th Nov, 2022 with the theme “Corruption free India for a developed Nation” across itsbranches and offices.
The week-long celebrations commenced on 31stOctober, 2022 with Integrity Pledge ceremony. Shri A S Rajeev, MD & CEO, Bank of Maharashtra, administered the integrity pledge to all the employees at the Head Office of Bank. Messages ofHon’ble President, Vice-President, Prime Minister of India and the Central Vigilance Commission on Anti-Corruption, Importance of Honesty & Integrity, were read out to Bank’s staff by Executive Directors Shri A B Vijayakumar, Shri Asheesh Pandey and Chief Vigilance Officer Shri Amit Srivastava.
On the occasion of Vigilance Awareness Week, BoMlaunched one month long ‘Cyber Security Awareness Campaign’ for its customers. Under this initiative, Quiz for general public and customers through Bank’s website was carried out and on successful participation, digital certificate was also facilitated to them. An extensive drive was carried out through SMSs & E-Mails to create Cyber Security Awareness amongst customers of the Bank. VIGI CORNER, a special IT platform for employees was also launched on this occasion.
A special program for Service Providers of Bank viz. Panel Advocates, Auditors, Security agencies, Labour Contractors, IT vendors etc. associated with the bank was organised on 1st November, 2022. Board of Directors of the bank interacted with the service providers during the event.
Various awareness activities viz. Quiz &Slogan writing competitions, workshops, sensitization programs, competitions for employees, rallies, broadcasting of radio jingles, display of hoardings & banners, Awareness programs at Gram Sabha, meeting with Self Help Groups etc. were carried out during the Vigilance Awareness Week.A human chain was formed at Pune City, creating various vigilance awareness amongst the citizens.E-pledge by staff and general public were also organised across the country. ‘Customer Meet’ as a part of outreach activities were done by all the Branches.
On the concluding day of Vigilance Awareness Week, a well-organised Bike Rally was carried out in Pune city,spreading vigilance awareness amongst the citizens. In the concluding ceremony, “SamvaadSarita” magazine on Vigilance Awareness Activities was also unveiled.The “Vigilance Awareness Week” concluding ceremony was attended by Top Management, executives and staff ofHead Office.
