Google has inaugurated one of its largest global offices, ‘Ananta,’ in India. Recognizing India’s strategic role in tech, with its thriving startup ecosystem and diverse pool of creators, Google aims to enhance its products and platforms with Indian innovation.
Anand Rangarajan, Vice President at Google Deepmind, emphasized India’s unique opportunity not just to reach millions locally but also to shape global technology with Indian ingenuity. Located in Bengaluru, one of the fastest-growing tech hubs worldwide, Ananta is a collaboration between Google India and a local design team. The campus, named after the Sanskrit word for ‘infinite,’ features advanced workplace design, including one of India’s largest electro-chromic glass installations and a fluid facade.
Google intends for Ananta to deliver world-class products, strengthen customer partnerships, and address complex challenges for users and businesses globally. Following a recent meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Google CEO Sundar Pichai highlighted the potential for artificial intelligence to transform India. Pichai expressed enthusiasm for close collaboration with India on digital transformation initiatives.
