Mumbai: On Sunday, February 9th, the Mulund Fine Arts Society, a distinguished cultural organization dedicated to the promotion of music, dance, and performing arts for over sixty years, celebrated the 178th Thyagaraja Aradhana Music Festival with great enthusiasm. Established in 1969 in Mulund, Mumbai, the society has been instrumental in fostering Indian Performing Arts and Culture, particularly reflecting the rich traditions of the southern states.

The Morning Aradhana was led by the Hon Principal Mrs Seetha Jayaraman. The president Mr Raghavan and the Secretaries Mr Shankar and Mrs Seetha Jayaraman. the tireless spirit of the team obtained the Sabha to a greater heights.
The festivities commenced with a harmonious group rendition of the renowned Panchratna Kritis, featuring participation from over fifty singers across various age groups. This was followed by the Anjeneya Ustavam. The Secretary and the organizing team displayed remarkable enthusiasm throughout the daylong event, despite some lingering challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, the younger generation is adapting well to the rapidly evolving landscape of arts and culture.
The evening session began at 4 PM and extended until 9 PM, showcasing a diverse array of performances by students from the Music School, encompassing categories such as Vocal, Violin, Mridangam, and Keyboard, all held at the Bhakta Sangham Temple Complex in Mulund. The Fine Arts Secretary also shared insights regarding the year-long program, presenting it from a fresh perspective.

Mumbai, February 9th: The Mulund Fine Arts Society (MFAS), a premier cultural organization, commemorated the 178th Thyagaraja Aradhana Music Festival with great fervor. Since its inception in 1969, MFAS has been dedicated to promoting Indian performing arts and culture, particularly highlighting the rich traditions of southern India.
The festivities began with a soulful group rendition of the iconic Panchratna Kritis, featuring over 50 singers across various age groups lead by Mrs Seetha Jayaraman, followed by the Anjeneya Ustavam.
Hon. Joint Secretaries Mrs. Seetha Jayaraman and Mr. M. Sankaran, along with the organizing team, demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm throughout the day-long event.
The evening session, spanning from 4 PM to 9 PM, showcased a diverse array of performances, including music and dance recitals by esteemed artists and talented students of MFAS. The event was attended by over 200 music connoisseurs, patrons, and members of the society.
This celebration reinforced MFAS’s commitment to preserving and promoting India’s rich cultural heritage.
