On the occasion of the 77th Army Day, General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Defence Staff, extended heartfelt greetings and accolades to all ranks of the Indian Army, celebrating their dedication, courage, and professionalism. In his message, he recognized the Army as the foundation of India’s security and unity, hailing its unwavering commitment to the nation.
Highlighting the Army’s storied legacy, Chauhan commended its ability to adapt to challenges, uphold sovereignty, and selflessly serve the nation. He praised the Army for its relentless efforts to maintain readiness, excel in operational domains, and ensure the safety of citizens under all circumstances.
Acknowledging the rapidly evolving nature of modern warfare, Chauhan emphasized the significance of technology and innovation. He described how advancements in automation, artificial intelligence, data-centric architecture, stealth, hypersonic technologies, and robotics are reshaping military strategies. “Future conflicts will be fought in new domains, including cyber, space, and cognitive arenas. The Indian Army must adapt and continually upgrade its tactics, techniques, and procedures to outpace adversaries,” he stated.
Chauhan called for empowering soldiers with higher technical expertise and integrating advanced information and communication technologies into operations. He also paid tribute to the brave soldiers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, expressing gratitude for their service.
