Mumbai: Common mobility card to be introduced by BEST for all commuters from Monday onwards. wherein commuters can travel railways, Metros, buses, and all public transport modes all across the country and its based upon foreign mobility card card system.
This card will be launched by best on Monday at coloba depot Mumbai.
The best are the first one within the state of Maharashtra to launch such card as a common means for travelling.
These cards will be replacement for the chalo card and can be used for all modes of transportation, if anyone uses this then he does not need to worry about anything else, the bmc official said.
The (NCMC) National Common Mobility Card Is online fare collection system and its widely used on airport and metros in the state of delhi, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad, and due to such ease in travelling there are lakhs of online transactions daily.
One could use this transport card even on phones, and could pay the fares in all of the transportation mode.
This card could be used for travelling in metros and bus in the coming days as Mumbai rail cor-portation are working on it.
This will change the travelling system in rails and others transportation means, and will be implemented once nod is granted from the authorities, commuters could add amount to their card for by buying ticket and seasonal tickets.
This inter-operable transportation card was planned and conceptualised by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, this makes the customers pay their bills and withdraw and use it for other means.
