Mumbai: Vidyarthi Samvad Launched by VC of Mumbai University to resolve student grievances & issues. In a huge move that will bring to relief to over 6 to 6.5 lakhs students of the Mumbai University, Vice-Chancellor Dr Suhas Pednekar has started Vidyarthi Samvad, to meet them and resolve their problems.
The vice-chancellor and other officials will negotiate with the students to solve their problems and query regarding examinations, results and other issues related to it.
This new programme called Vidyarthi Samvad will be held every Tuesday in the exam section building of the university Kalina campus. In a talk with the university officials, they said that this New idea is to hasten to process of solving doubts and problems of students and they can discuss it in an open talk with the VC In person so one should take full benefit of it.
Out of 20 to 25 cases, only 8 issues were heard on the first session of Vidyarthi samwad by the chancellor.
Students had come from many places from Thane, dombivali, kalyan Regarding many issues r that were related that the university should conduct online exams, and others were those who had not yet received their convocation certificate and mark sheets.
As the vice-chancellor is completing the 5-year tenure, suddenly they thought of this new idea,in talk with many students they find it interesting that the VC was not even bothered to even talk in 4 and half years suddenly what gave them this urge to start it.
According to the students, its a bit late but still a good initiative and now this programme should go on its important that the vc and university officials hear our plea and do not neglect us.
