Mumbai: Maharashtra Governor presents ‘Life Saver Awards’ to 35 Blood Donation organisations. Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari presents the ‘Samvedana International Life Saver Awards’ to 35 organisations for their work of organizing blood donation camps at a function held at Raj Bhavan Mumbai on Thursday (7 April).
The Awards function was organized by the National Integrated Forum of Artists and Activists (NIFAA) in association with Maharashtra Entrepreneur Chamber (MEC) with the support of National Integrated Medical Association (NIMA).
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Koshyari called upon blood donation organisations to make the nation Aatmanirbhar in terms of blood. He applauded the work of the NIFAA, Maharashtra Entrepreneur Chamber and NIMA for their sustained efforts in organizing blood donation camps.
The Governor was speaking at the presentation of ‘Samvedana International Life Saving Award’ to 35 organizations and health ambassadors of the state who have done remarkable work in the field of blood donation in the last two years at Raj Bhavan on Thursday (Jan 7).
The Governor also presented the awards for Bhagwad Gita recitation competition ‘Krishna Mahima’ on the occasion. School students Irawati Walavalkar, Omisha Singh and Aditya Subramaniam were given the top awards.
President of NIFAA Pritpal Singh Panu, President of Maharashtra Entrepreneur Chamber Amey Patil, NIMA president Dr Vinayak Tembhurnikar and Joint Secretary of Maharashtra Satish Jondhale were prominent among those present.
